About
Hi everyone, this is Owler and welcome to my blog! I will be writing about my birding experiences and other bird stuff like a Bird of the Week or real ornithology. I hope to hear from you under Comments and that you enjoy this blog!
Here is a little of my personal birding life. I started birding after I got a field guide from the library, developing an interest in birds, especially owls. In February 2008, I had my first birding trip where we searched for a Short-eared Owl at dusk (and saw it just as we were giving up hope!). Since then, I have birded all over the world, seeing Baya Weaver, Japanese White-eye, Snowy Owl, and Hoopoe, to name a few. My favorite bird is the Northern Saw-whet Owl, a bird I hope to see in the near future. I hope to be an ornithologist when I grow up. Understand this is very different from birding – birders don’t really inspect internal anatomy of our avian friends.
How about you? What are your birding experiences?
Enjoy the blog!
